love gauge

Nobody really loves knitting the gauge swatch.

We all want to cut to the chase and just get on with knitting.

Until we knit and realize that we made an error by not having a gauge to determine our love.

Knitting for me is one part art and the other math.

I was never great at math but my art skills always made up for it.

I have fallen in love with this yarn, now to knit a swatch to see if we are the right match and the proper gauge. If you knit, do you take the time to knit the gauge swatch or rush into it.

It is a lot like love.
